Project Gnosis IT Academy for Kids is dedicated to teaching technical education (Tech-Ed) to school aged children. The company was established in Germany in 2013 by Michaela Sorrentino and was later joined by her business partner and company CTO Sami Asaker. The company philosophy is based on an understanding that in an age of communication and technology, education is a human right.
It takes a village to raise a child. We believe in leading by example, and hope that others will support us by doing the same.
Our motto: Think It. Code It. The only thing holding us back from living the life we want is our imaginations and a lack of education. Project Gnosis is all about changing that!
We are citizens of a new kind of global village driven by technology. By and large people are consciously choosing to submerse and embrace technology to the point that it has become the very essence behind daily living almost everywhere on the planet. The most important aspect of our success and ability to thrive and grow is how we handle things in the now. Co-creating a future society in which we all benefit can only occur in the present moment…and it all begins with education.
Think it. Code it.
Project Gnosis (the Greek word for “Knowledge”) is a computer programming teaching concept for today’s generation of kids. Learning to read and write programming languages is as important as knowing how to read and write in your mother tongue. Project Gnosis is dedicated to teaching kids how to code. We are leaders in Tech-Ed development.
If you or your organization is in need of specialty courses to enhance an existing curriculum; or perhaps you are thinking of starting a small business teaching Tech-Ed skills and development, Project Gnosis is the company for you. We are here to cater to your needs. We pride ourselves in quality program development for Tech-Ed purposes.
At Project Gnosis we use video games (something all kids can relate too!) as a template to learn computer programming languages.
Project Gnosis was founded by Michaela Sorrentino. She had an idea to develop an App but needed someone to program it for her. Figuring her then 14 year old son was very proficient with computers, she asked him to put her idea into code. Michaela was surprised to find out he did not know how to do this. Upon further investigation, she soon realized that while many young people were proficiently interfaced with technology, they were clueless as to how everything actually functioned. Moreover, most young students were not aware of the languages needed to enable a computer to perform a specific task. In other words, they did not “speak” computer. Essentially that is what coding is all about; speaking computer languages. Inspired by a grass roots organization aptly called code.org, she has made it her mission to empower today’s youth by providing them with the opportunity to learn how to code.
The company’s motto simply became:
“Think it. Code it.”
The Philosophy behind Project Gnosis
Gnosis: The Greek word for knowledge.
Project Gnosis is a grass roots organization looking to provide today’s generation of students with the knowledge necessary to build a better tomorrow.
At Project Gnosis we understand what it takes to create change by thinking outside of the box.
More than 3 years have passed since the Project-Gnosis team began structuring and creating a curriculum to teach young students everywhere how to read and write computer programming languages. In other words, learning to code.
The learning curve has been huge!
